Welcome to my blog. I tried to stay away from blogging as I am so busy working full time, trying to make art, teaching classes, and selling a few pieces, meanwhile trying to survive this economy we are all a part of. I decided hmm- I do need an outlet for some of my darker thoughts and feelings, my darker poetry, ideas, and brutal honesty- maybe even an art project or two. (Okay, maybe a little sarcasm and a sense of humor thrown in.) I am not writing in this digital journal to see how many followers I have, to win any prizes, or to be the Blogger of the Month or whatever, I simply am using it as an outlet to express myself. My website, Altered By Design, is still the main source of my art business and is where most of my artwork is shown.
SOUND OFF (I decided to give you a warning just in case you don't want to see my groaning and complaining. Every time you see SOUND OFF just skip it and go to the next entry (I'm sure, it will be much brighter and happier.)
So, okay- I got a website - now here comes Twittering or Tweeting- whatever it's called! How do all these people have the time to do all this? Then there's the ever popular cell phone- which has become a television, computer, phone book, and heaven knows what else! I now have a website, an Etsy site, an Artfire site and now a blog. I have no life but I do have all these things!
Well- I guess I do have a life- this IS my life~

welcome, Carol! I suggest you simply follow your heart and use your blog as you see fit - what fits best for you! You ARE very busy so make it work for you and make it a pleasure, not a burden. I am in a habit of photographing and documenting my art as I do it and that works for me. You will find your own way! I love your banner . . . it's enchanting.

Thank you Lenna- Not quite ready to start on a daily or even weekly venture here- it will come together when the time is right.

I think alot of us are trying to stay afloat in your same boat, or one like it!, Ms. Carol. (I always think of that retro kid's story The Bird's Christmas Carol when I hear your name.)
ReplyDeleteSarah! I found you here! I thought I accidentally deleted some of my posts but they were just hiding!
